Our Roots

Jacci's discerning eye and love for fashion developed at a young age. She viewed clothing as art for our bodies - garments that reflect our unique personalities. No surprise that once she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio, Jacci then set her sights on a career as a fashion designer. Jacci has worked closely under the mentorship of celebrity stylist Todd Ramos as well as designer Cesar Galindo. She has styled models for, and appeared on fashion segments for Great Day Houston (The Deborah Duncan Show) and The Wendy Williams Show.

Jacci is owner of Magnolia Silks, an online clothing and accessory boutique that pays tribute to one of the great hidden fashion icons in her family---her great aunt, Magnolia Ruth King.  Magnolia was a top couturier with daring style and a bold determination that flourished during the early 1950’s. She designed costumes for the Supremes, Sammy Davis Jr, Mae West and much other Hollywood stardom.

Currently, Jacci is an elite member of Fashion Group International (FGI).; and studies at Parsons School of Design. Jacci’s talent and hard work keeps her in high demand, as she spends her time between Houston and New York. She is a very focused collaborator and designer, bringing her unique perspective and insight to any needs of a production including creative direction, set design, shoot production and casting. Jacci continues to push the style envelope by bridging the gap between the catwalk and the sidewalk.
