Meet Cesar Galindo
We are proud to announce Cesar Galindo as one of the featured designers for the CATWALK TO SIDEWALK presentation! Our owner, Jacci Jackson, has had the privilege of shadowing Cesar early on in her career during New York Fashion Week. His knowledge, artistic flare and attention to detail inspired Jacci and helped give her the confidence and knowledge she needed to pursue her career in NYC. Cesar Galindo, a self-taught designer who began his career in fashion designing corsets and period costumes for The Miami City Ballet, and then for The Houston Grand Opera in his hometown. He moved to New York in the mid 1980’s to continue his work as a designer and started in the fashion industry at TSE Cashmere as a show room manager. After a year, he went on to design for Carmelo Pomodoro, a then rising international sportswear designer. During this time, Cesar began developing his own line, a signature collection specializing in dresses for social and evening events and has been captivating the fashion world every since. He will give the audience at the Catwalk to Sidewalk a preview of his collection making its official debut Saturday, September 9th 2017 at PUNTO SPACE (325 West 38th St.).
